When you first walk into the lobby of the Grand Cayman Marriott Beach Resort you are welcomed by the buzzing lounge and open layout of Anchor & Den.  This is not your typical hotel restaurant because they have gone above and beyond by offering guests a globally inspired menu, creative cocktails, weekly themed events and a variety of food stations, including a creperie, gelato stand, sushi & raw bar.  This is not just beneficial to guests staying at the hotel, but for residents who are looking to change up their weekly routine. Their events are known on island and include an Eastern Mediterranean night called Argo, Spanish tapas night El Mercat - Nit de Tapes, the Mad Hatter's Tea Party on Saturdays and their Boulangerie Brunch on Sundays.  Specialty events are also held and the more consistent ones include the monthly Night Market, for a retail therapy, happy hour and street food event all-in-one, and the popular 4 hour night brunch, A&D Sessions, that has a DJ and all-inclusive food and drinks package.  To stand out even further they have gone as far as producing their own gin and creating their own coffee blend!  This is the perfect example of a hotel restaurant who caters to guests and the local population, so do as I do and pretend you're on vacation for a few hours.
