Big Tree BBQ

Big Tree BBQ

Big Tree BBQ

This casual restaurant is located on the front yard of a local family and, as you may have already guessed, under a very big tree. They have gained a strong following for their barbecue delicacies which include BBQ chicken leg quarters, baby back ribs and beef ribs. They also sell some authentic local dishes regularly, like Cayman Style Beef, and on Sundays they expand that menu even further to include the labour intensive Caymanian dishes of stewed turtle and stewed conch. It’s a hefty meal as each main is served with popular local sides, such as rice & beans, coleslaw, baked mac & cheese, fried plantains and corn bread. You can buy one main dish or ask for a combo that will run you around CI$22-25. It may be served in a to-go container, but I suggest you buy a can of local beer and eat your meal under the shade of the big tree.
