The Kitchen

The Kitchen sits adjacent to popular Irish pub, Fidel Murphy’s in Queen’s Court. What makes them different than their sports-watching and pub grub sister restaurant is that they have taken a more elevated approach by serving European-inspired dishes and offer a selection of quality steaks. They offer seven different cuts of steaks and detail the marbling, tenderness, flavour and overall chef’s rating next to each one. Regardless if you want it small, like a 10oz New York striploin, or as big as a 22oz CAB porterhouse, you’ll find that each steak comes with a choice of two sides, a sauce and a beer or house wine to drink alongside it. With the prices ranging from CI$24 to CI$69 you’ll enjoy a delicious meal to fit for any budget in a more relaxed environment. If you’re looking for something different you may enjoy the Snake River Farms wagyu when it’s available, and on Friday nights you can order a whopping portion of beef wellington seeing as it’s one of the few places you’ll find it on island.

SEVEN at the Ritz-Carlton is exactly what you expect when you think of a top-notch steakhouse: quality products, excellent service, a variety of wines and a dimly lit ambience. They offer both Niman Ranch and Snake River Wagyu products cooked to your liking. Diners can also customise their steak by choosing to have it seasoned with a housemade rub, like their Caribbean Jerk or Signature BBQ, or have one of their homemade sauces served on the side, from béarnaise and peppercorn to bordelaise and chimichurri. You also can upgrade your meal by adding a butter poached lobster tail, seared foie gras or a blue cheese crust. A steak dinner isn’t complete without having one or two of their delicious sides. Personally I enjoy the duck fat fries, lobster & truffle twice baked potato, chipotle cream corn with bacon and the 1lb fully loaded baked potato. SEVEN is so much more than a steakhouse, so it’s worth heading to their page located in my Seven Mile Beach District Guide.

Steak Social

Steak Social launched in late 2019 by talented Chef-Owner Jonathan Rivard making it one of the newest steakhouses on island. Expect to find classic appetisers, including lobster bisque, caesar salad and shrimp cocktail, and a selection of wines from around the world. The steaks are all certified angus beef (CAB) and include cuts of tenderloin, skirt steak, wagyu and dry aged selections. Each steak comes with one side and a sauce of your choice, with the option to add-on seared foie gras, lobster tail or shrimp. Thanks to their perfectly temped steaks, buzzing atmosphere and great service they have become quite popular and a reservation is necessary. Follow them on social media for their deals and events, including “2-for-1 Tuesdays”, holiday brunches and specialty dinners.
