Ragazzi ristorante & Pizzeria

Ragazzi has been serving Italian favourites to Cayman's residents for nearly 20 years.  This unassuming corner restaurant is usually buzzing with a jam-packed dining room and bar area, especially on the weekends.  They are known for their classic and modern Italian dishes ranging from pastas, meats, seafood and wood-fired pizzas.  They even cater to the gluten-free community by offering pizza and pasta options, which you obviously want when you are craving some Italian food!  Their menu remains the same all year, but they prop up their specials board nearby for you to see what Chef Luca Cocchieri is cooking that day.  It wouldn't be a perfect meal without a glass of wine and Ragazzi has been recognised by Wine Spectator since 2003 and currently holds a '2017 Best of Award of Excellence'.

A creamy Spaghetti Carbonara with bacon, parmesan and cream sauce

Mixed Mushroom Pizza: Tomato sauce, mozzarella cheese, porcini, champignon and chanterelle mushrooms with my addition of pepperoni. Order with gluten-free, whole wheat or regular crusts.

Chicken Marsala: chicken scaloppine sautéed with a rich mixed wild mushrooms and marsala sauce served with creamy mashed potatoes and vegetables.

The Fettucine Pesto is one of my favourites because it has all of my favourite things; grilled chicken, sundried tomatoes and a creamy basil pesto. Note that I opted for the GF spaghetti here.

Smoked Duck Salad: Thinly sliced in-house smoked duck on a bed of arugula, cherry tomatoes, craisins, Calvados pears and a balsamic reduction. Served with chicken liver "croutons" on the side.

One of the most popular desserts at Ragazzi is the Hot Apple Strudel - thinly sliced apples, raisins and pine nuts wrapped in puff pastry and served with toffee sauce and a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
