Chefs Dylan Benoit and Lucas Benoit decided that it was time for Grand Cayman to have an authentic noodle spot in 2022. This brotherly duo have spent long periods of time in Asia and are keen to showcase their knowledge at San Si Wu Noodle Co. It’s location may have a “hole-in-the-wall” feel, but it serves its purpose of fitting just two individuals in the kitchen space. It’s honestly amazing how such a small space can serve such flavourful and diverse dishes. Not to be confused with ramen (which tends to be more brothy), San Si Wu noodles are handmade daily with alkaline water to ensure they have the correct texture and bounce. After receiving your order you can choose to add more soy sauce, homemade black garlic vinegar (if you crave more acidity) and chilli oil (if you like it extra spicy). If you’re looking for more than noodles, then definitely add on some of the dumplings to start or the Macanese Egg Tart for a sweet ending. Each order is made fresh so you can either call ahead for takeout or dine-in at one of the communal tables in this open air space.
